St Patrick’s Athletic have been hit with a fine and a two-match closure of Section G of the Main Stand at Richmond Park following an incident involving a spectator during their SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division game against Waterford FC last Friday.
The match on August 28th saw a Waterford FC player struck by a spectator.
An Independent Disciplinary Committee of the FAI has now imposed a one-match closure of Section G, while also activating a previously suspended one-match closure.
That means Section G will be closed for St Patrick’s Athletic’s next two home league fixtures.
The closures will not come into effect until after Saturday’s meeting with Bohemian FC, allowing the club time to make the necessary operational arrangements.
The FAI says the decision can be appealed in accordance with its Disciplinary Regulations.
