The countdown is officially on, with just 365 days to go until the Ryder Cup comes to Adare Manor.

The golf tournament will return to Ireland in September 2027, when Europe and the United States go head-to-head in County Limerick.

Adare Manor will host some of the biggest names in world golf across three days of competition.

It will be only the second time Ireland has staged the Ryder Cup, following the memorable tournament at the K Club in 2006.

Tens of thousands of golf fans are expected to travel to Ireland for the event, with significant numbers also expected to stay and travel across the wider region.

Waterford and the South East could also benefit from the influx of international visitors in the days surrounding the tournament.

The Ryder Cup is one of the most watched sporting events in the world, attracting a global television audience.

Preparations at Adare Manor and across the region will continue to ramp up over the next 12 months.

The 2027 tournament will mark 100 years since the first Ryder Cup was played in 1927.

And with the one-year countdown now underway, attention will increasingly turn to Ireland ahead of one of world sport’s biggest events.
