Gailltír are the 2026 senior camogie champions after a thrilling 0-15 to 0-12 win over De La Salle.

It was a brilliant advertisement for camogie in front of a massive crowd at Azzurri Walsh Park. Both teams produced a terrific performance in a tense final, but Gailltír deserved their win. It will live long in the memory as they got one over on their rivals and dethroned last year’s champions, De La Salle.

De La Salle led 9–7 at half-time, with Beth Carton scoring seven points before the break. Gailltír stayed in touch, then took control in a dramatic second half. Molly Comerford scored five points from play, while Laoise Forrest added five, including a free from around 80 yards.

De La Salle went scoreless from the 37th to the 49th minute, with Carton their only scorer in the second half. Gailltír goalkeeper Noelle Murphy also made a crucial save from a De La Salle goal attempt with five minutes remaining.

The win completes a remarkable season for Gailltír, who are also senior ladies’ football champions. It is the first time the club has won both titles in the same year.
