Passengers arriving at Dublin Airport can now enjoy a unique celebration of Irish sport thanks to a new permanent Gaelic games exhibition in Terminal 1.

The GAA and daa have partnered to create the installation at Pier 3 arrivals, providing visitors with a distinctive Irish welcome as they enter the country.

The exhibition features the jerseys of all 34 counties competing in the senior football and hurling championships, alongside striking imagery showcasing football, hurling, and camogie.

The project builds on an existing relationship between the GAA and daa, which previously saw signed county jerseys displayed at the airport after they were acquired through a charity auction in aid of Pieta House in 2015.

GAA President Jarlath Burns said the exhibition offers a valuable opportunity to introduce Gaelic games to an international audience while celebrating a sport that is deeply rooted in Irish communities.

Dublin Airport Managing Director Gary McLean said the airport welcomes millions of visitors every year and aims to give them a strong sense of Irish culture from the moment they arrive.

The GAA exhibition is the latest addition to a series of cultural displays at the airport. Earlier this year, Dublin Airport unveiled an interactive music wall featuring some of Ireland’s best-known musical acts, including U2, Westlife, Enya, and Christy Moore.

The new display is expected to provide a memorable introduction to Irish sport and culture for visitors arriving in the country while celebrating the GAA’s central role in Irish life.
