
There is a packed schedule of championship hurling on the agenda this week with games down for decision across the Intermediate, Junior A, Junior B and Junior C grades.
The Intermediate Hurling Championship gets underway on Friday, 3rd July, when Erin’s Own and St Mollorans meet in Kilmacthomas at 7.30 pm. Both sides will be hoping to get off to a winning start and lay down an early marker in the competition.
There are two games on Saturday, 4th July, with Tramore taking on Butlerstown at St Saviours at 4.30 pm before Dunhill and Roanmore meet in Butlerstown at 7.30 pm in what should be another competitive encounter.
The Junior A Hurling Championship also gets underway on Friday evening as Mount Sion face St Saviours in Gracedieu at 7.30 pm. Ballydurn and De La Salle go head-to-head in Portlaw on Saturday at 1pm, while Sunday’s fixture sees Clonea take on Fenor in Dunhill at 7pm.
Sunday morning belongs to the Junior B Championship with both games throwing in at 11 am. Home advantage goes to the first team named, with Mount Sion hosting Tramore and Ballygunner welcoming Roanmore.
The Junior C Championship opens proceedings on Thursday, 2nd July 2026, with four games scheduled. Portlaw host De La Salle at 7pm, while Ferrybank welcome Mount Sion to Ferrybank at the same time. Clonea face Roanmore at 7.45 pm in Clonea before ST Mollerans take on Butlerstown in Carrickbeg at 8 pm.
With championship hurling returning to venues across the county, clubs will be eager to make a strong start, and supporters can expect plenty of competitive action over the coming days.
