It was reported earlier this week that the combination of a static speed camera and reduction of the speed limit on the N25 near Glenmore has seen a huge surge in fixed charge notices issued on drivers.

While it's been hailed as a good development in terms of road safety, it's believed up to 200 drivers per day have received fines and penalty points - with many blaming 'inadequate' warning signage in the lead-in to the static camera.

This morning on 'Deise Today' Damien spoke to Dick Murphy of the N25 road safety campaign to find out what is happening - and to get Dick's viewpoint on it.
