Late last week, we featured the story on ‘Deise Today’ of Lynda Shefflin.

And this week it went all the way to the Dail.

With a history of breast cancer in her family, and after discovering a lump on her right breast, Lynda went to her GP last February and was referred for further testing to UHW.

What followed was a series of delays with various stages of the testing, despite her case being labelled ‘urgent’.

Lynda was then diagnosed with breast cancer.

She was given a date for an MRI but it wasn’t until October 29 next.

So Lynda went privately for an MRI this week to discover what stage her illness was at and where her path will take her from here.

She spoke to Damien on ‘Deise Today’ this morning with the update.
