The number of taxis has decreased by 4.5% across the country since 2019 BUT the population has grown by 8.5%, and tourism numbers are increasing. Kieran Harte, Head of Uber Ireland and member of the Taxis for Ireland Coalition spoke to Damien yesterday (Monday) on 'Déise Today' about the new National Transport Authority Figures that show a 7% decrease in the number of Waterford taxi drivers since 2019.
