Oasis are back for 2027 with two nights in Slane Castle included as part of their much anticipated announcement.
At 4pm yesterday, fans around the globe heard the news that following their reunion gigs in Croke Park, the Gallagher brothers would be back for a 38-gig tour.
Pricing information has been released, and tickets will by no means be cheap, however the ‘tiered’ pricing system saw previously has been scrapped and tickets will range from €180 to just over €500.
For Colin Shanahan (Waterford’s answer to Noel Gallagher) and Mad Ferritt, the gig announcement couldn’t have come more timely as this Friday to mark Culture Night, they will perform on the Theatre Royal stage at 8pm.
As someone who has been shaped from a young age by the music of Oasis, Colin joined Ollie and Dymphna on air to reflect on the announcement, the cultural revolution of Oasis, and the rise and enduring success of Mad Ferritt.
