Listen back: 2024 the warmest year on record…

A major new report has painted (another) bleak picture about human-induced climate change.
In its latest 'State of the Global Climate' report, the World Meteorological Organization recorded how 2024 was the warmest year on record and likely the first to be more than 1.5C above the pre-industrial level, as many parts of the globe were forced to deal with the massive economic and social upheavals from extreme weather.
The impacts of human-induced climate change, WMO said, reached new lows during the past year and some of the consequences will be "irreversible" for hundreds, if not thousands, of years.
