The Transport Minister has been asked this week by Waterford Council to clarify the Government commitment to Waterford Airport and the next steps that are being taken on it.

Waterford City and County Council CEO says the Mayor has sent a letter to the Minister seeking a meeting on the Programme for Government commitment on Waterford Airport - and the "urgency of the situation" has been stressed.

The Council CEO spoke to Damien Tiernan on 'Deise Today' this morning on the situation at Waterford Airport and the council's continued funding of same.
