Late John Shanahan, Ard na Gréine, King Street, Abbeyside, Dungarvan (Ex Assistant Chief Fire Officer, Waterford County Fire Service)
John passed away peacefully on the 25th of November 2025, in the tender care of staff at St. Vincent’s Unit, Dungarvan Community Hospital, predeceased by his beloved wife Maura, sisters Anna and Kathleen, brothers Paddy and Nicky, parents Nick and Mary.
John is deeply mourned and sadly missed by his daughter Alma, sons Anthony and John, son-in-law Pat Power, daughters-in-law Irene and Sonya, grandchildren David, Kieran, Jack and Eve, sister-in-law Mary Shanahan, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
John will be reposing at The Kiely Funeral Home, Dungarvan on Friday evening, 28th November, from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. with Prayers at 6.30 p.m.
Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning, 29th November, in St. Augustine’s Church, Abbeyside.
Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
