John (Johnsie) Young, Murphy Place, Abbeyside, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford.

Johnsie passed peacefully on the 19th January 2026, in the tender care of staff at the Cedar Ward, Dunmore Wing, University Hospital Waterford and in the presence of his loving family, predeceased by his beloved wife Maureen, parents Augustine and Alice, brothers Dixie, Tommy and Antone and other members of the Young family.

Johnsie is deeply mourned and sadly missed by his daughters Marian, Sheila, Alice and Teresa, sons-in-law Michael O’Keeffe and Eugene Tobin, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild, sister-in-law Ann, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Johnsie will be reposing at The Kiely Funeral Home, Dungarvan on Friday evening, 23rd January from 5 p.m. with Prayers at 7 p.m.

Requiem Mass at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning, 24th January, in St. Augustine’s Church, Abbeyside.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
