Joan Williams (nee Johanna Morrissey), late of Viewmount Park, Waterford, formerly of Rostellan, Co Cork, who died peacefully surrounded by her loving family and in the compassionate care of staff at Mooncoin Residential Care Home.
On 3rd December 2025 RIP
Sadly missed by her daughters Patricia and Eva, sons Ken and Eddie, daughter-in-law Orla, grandchildren Kate, Arthur, Jana, Rachel and Sophie, brothers Thomas, Billy and Eddie, sisters Mary and Catherine, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Falconer’s Funeral Home, Riverstown, Tramore, Co Waterford, X91 TW21 on Friday the 5th of December from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
All are welcome and refreshments will be served throughout.
Funeral mass on Saturday the 6th of December at 1:30pm in St Mary’s Church, Ballygunner, Waterford City, X91 W659.
Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ballygunner, Waterford. Anyone wishing to watch Joan’s mass online can do so by using the link here

Sincere sympathies to Mrs Williams family at this very sad time. Mrs Williams taught me English for Leaving Cert in the Presentation in the early 1990s. She was a gifted and inspiring teacher, and I have wonderful memories of her classes. I cannot think of them and Mrs Williams without smiling. May she see Heaven today and may God comfort her loved ones in their sorrow and loss.
