The death has occurred of Anne Mathews (née Piper), Glasnevin, Dublin and formerly of Tramore, Co. Waterford

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Anne Mathews (née Piper), who passed away peacefully after an illness fought with great courage and dignity on Wednesday, 26th August 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife and best friend of Liam, much loved mother of Emma-Jane, Brian, David and Charlotte and cherished grandmother of Lucy-Anne, Liam and Jack.

Anne will be deeply missed by her family, daughter-in-law Annie, sons-in-law Chris and Barry, brother Freddie and sister-in-law Mary, sisters, brothers-in-law, aunties and uncle, cousins, friends, neighbours and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Anne’s kindness, warmth, generosity and unwavering love touched countless lives and her memory will remain in our hearts forever.

A Memorial Mass will be held for Anne on Saturday the 26th of September in The Church of the Holy Cross Tramore, Co. Waterford at 10am.
