Following on from the back-to-back Storm Austen and Storm Boelo last weekend, those heading out for Halloween will be happy to know there is a much milder forecast.
While outbreaks of drizzly rain are expected throughout the day on Halloween, this is set to clear up in the evening, making for cold but dry trick-or-treating conditions.
However, Met Éireann has stressed that conditions will also match the vibe of this year’s Halloween as heavy bouts of fog and mist roll in.

Saturday, October 31 will certainly feel like Halloween, with forecasters predicting a cloudy morning with fog and mist as the rainy patches forecasted for Friday continue to clear.
This will be matched with ‘outbreaks of rain and drizzle’ in the northwest, according to Met Éireann, making for a particularly wet morning for some.
This is set to clear throughout the day, leaving ‘a mix of cloud and bright spells’ throughout the day.
Forecasters at Met Éireann said: ‘The rain will gradually clear southeastwards later in the day, becoming lighter and patchier as it does so.’

However, it will remain cold throughout the day with highest temperatures predicted to reach 12 to 14C.
In good news for those dressing up and heading out for the night on Saturday, it is expected to be ‘a mostly dry night with the last of the rain clearing southeastwards as the evening continues.
Adding to the horror of the ghosts and zombies wandering the streets, patches of mist and fog will roll in as it turns dark, only veering towards the north by Sunday morning.

Met Éireann has stressed that while the dry conditions make for perfect trick-or-treating, people should wrap up, with temperatures of just 5 to 10C forecasted for the evening.
Thursday and Friday are set to be similarly dry however, Met Éireann has forecasted some outbreaks of ‘rain and drizzle’ mainly affecting the west of Ireland.
Forecasters said of Friday evening: ‘Cloud, rain and drizzle lingering in the west and northwest, but mostly dry elsewhere, with cloud and clear spells.’
Sunday is predicted to have ‘dry and settled conditions’ throughout most of the day. It will also see some of the only sunny spells throughout a mostly cloudy weekend.
