Waterford-based Copper Coast Renewables has been named Engineering Firm of the Year at the 2026 Engineering Excellence Awards.

The company received the national award at a ceremony in Dublin, recognising its work in the renewable energy sector.

Founded in Waterford in 2023, Copper Coast Renewables works on commercial and utility-scale solar projects, battery energy storage, grid connections and wider power infrastructure.

The company says the award comes during a period of significant growth, with increasing demand for its engineering and project delivery work across Ireland.

Managing Director Luke Deasy said the recognition was a major achievement for the business.

‘We are absolutely delighted to receive the Engineering Firm of the Year award. To be recognised on a national level, alongside some of the country’s leading engineering businesses, is a huge honour for Copper Coast Renewables.’

He also credited the company’s staff across its engineering, project management, site and office teams for its growth.

Mr. Deasy said it was particularly rewarding to bring the award back to Waterford and that the company plans to continue expanding its operations and workforce while delivering renewable energy projects across the country.
