Global recognition has once again been bestowed on two of Ireland’s most celebrated visitor attractions, with the Irish Museum of Time and Mount Congreve Gardens in Waterford both receiving the prestigious Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award 2026.

The honour, awarded on the basis of consistently outstanding visitor reviews and ratings submitted over the past year, places both attractions among the top-rated tourism experiences worldwide and marks another major milestone for Waterford tourism on the international stage.

For the teams behind both attractions, the recognition is particularly meaningful as it comes directly from visitors who have travelled from Ireland and across the globe to experience the unique heritage, storytelling and hospitality each destination offers.

The Irish Museum of Time, located in the heart of Waterford City, has become one of Ireland’s most distinctive cultural experiences, showcasing one of the country’s greatest collections of timepieces and horological history and the recently added extension to the museum to house the permanent Cockoo Clock exhibition. Meanwhile, Mount Congreve Gardens continues to enchant visitors with its world-renowned woodland gardens, sweeping river walks, historic estate and immersive seasonal experiences.

Sara Dolan, CEO of both attractions, said the awards were a tremendous endorsement of the passion and dedication of the teams working across the two visitor destinations.

“We are absolutely delighted to receive the TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award 2026 for both the Irish Museum of Time and Mount Congreve Gardens. To be recognised once again on a global platform, based entirely on visitor feedback and experiences, is incredibly special for all of us.

“These awards reflect the extraordinary commitment of our teams, who work every day to create memorable, welcoming and authentic experiences for every visitor who walks through our doors. We are deeply grateful to everyone who visited, supported us and took the time to leave such positive reviews.”

The recognition further strengthens Waterford’s growing reputation as one of Ireland’s leading cultural and tourism destinations, with both attractions continuing to draw significant national and international interest throughout the year.
