Homes and businesses in Dungarvan and surrounding areas may experience disruption to their water supply today following a burst water main.

Uisce Éireann says crews are on site carrying out repairs, with Dungarvan, Abbeyside, Clonea and surrounding areas among those affected.

Repairs are expected to be completed later this evening.

Once the work is finished, water supplies will return gradually over the following hours, while customers in higher-lying areas or at the ends of the network may have to wait longer as the system refills.

Traffic management measures are also in place while repairs continue.
