Gardai and emergency services attended the scene of a two vehicle road traffic collision on the R711 New Ross Road, Ferrybank, Waterford that occurred at approximately 10:40am today (Tuesday).

Both the driver, a male aged in his 80s, and the passenger of one of the vehicles, a female aged in her 70s, were taken to University Hospital Waterford to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
