Plans have been lodged for a major new solar farm spanning more than 67 hectares in Co. Waterford.
The company behind the development is seeking permission to operate the facility for 40 years.
Cullenagh Solar Farm Limited is seeking permission from Waterford City and County Council for the development across lands at Lahardan, Kildermody Co. Waterford, 2km before Carrolls Cross approaching from Waterford City.
The plans include arrays of solar panels, 11 inverter transformer units and underground cabling.
A new entrance would also be created on the L4026, with some widening of the road proposed.
The development would include security fencing, internal access tracks, drainage works and landscaping.
A separate application is expected for a future 110-kilovolt substation and connection to the electricity grid.
