Scholarships are now available for eligible applicants to a television and media production course run by South East Technological University (SETU) and Nemeton TV.

The eight-month Higher Diploma in Television and Media Production is due to begin on September 21st, with applications still being accepted.

An online information session for prospective students will also take place this Thursday, August 13th at 7pm.

The postgraduate course combines practical workshops, online learning and block-release delivery and is aimed at both newcomers to television production and those looking to develop existing skills.

Students on the programme received 13 nominations and picked up two awards at this year’s National Student Media Awards.

Course Leader Dr. Moira Sweeney said the programme has helped graduates develop careers across the television and media industry.

‘The combination of practical workshops, online learning and block-release delivery makes it particularly suited to people who are working or have other commitments,’ she said.

Graduates of the course have gone on to work across documentary, drama, live sport and music, including with RTÉ, TG4 and the BBC.
