Road closures announced for Waterford Spraoi Festival

Motorists are being advised to plan ahead after a series of road closures were announced for Waterford City during this year’s Spraoi Festival.
Waterford City and County Council has confirmed a number of temporary traffic restrictions will be in place from Wednesday, July 29th to Monday, August 3rd to facilitate the annual festival.
The closures include:
Jenkins Lane Car Park (left section by the entrance): 6pm on Wednesday, July 29th until 12.30am on Sunday, August 2nd.
O’Connell Street (between Hanover Street and Gladstone Street): 6pm on Thursday, July 30th until 11pm on Monday, August 3rd.
Gladstone Street: 6pm on Thursday, July 30th until 1am on Monday, August 3rd.
The Mall: 7pm on Friday, July 31st until 1am on Monday, August 3rd.
Henrietta Street: 12 noon to 6pm on Saturday, August 1st and again on Sunday, August 2nd.
Johnstown: 8.30pm to 10pm on Sunday, August 2nd.
Parnell Street: 8.30pm to 10.30pm on Sunday, August 2nd.
Parade Quay: 9pm to 11.30pm on Sunday, August 2nd.
Custom House Quay: 9pm to 11.30pm on Sunday, August 2nd.
Waterford City and County Council is advising motorists to allow extra time for journeys during the festival and to follow any temporary traffic management measures that will be in place throughout the city.
