The winning county has been revealed after a Lotto player woke up to life as a multi-millionaire over the weekend.

The winning location of Saturday night’s €8,221,849 jackpot has been narrowed down to the Faithful County.

It means the home of the Slieve Bloom Mountains and Birr Castle can now add a rather more lucrative claim to fame, that of housing Ireland’s newest Lotto millionaire.

The Offaly winner becomes the fourth Lotto jackpot winner of 2026.

The winning numbers in Saturday’s draw were 23, 24, 25, 42, 43, 46 and the bonus was 37.

The exact shop where the ticket was bought is expected to be revealed by the National Lottery in the coming days, but for now, players across Offaly are being urged to check their tickets carefully.

National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O’Dwyer said it had been a weekend to remember for the county.

‘A Lotto player in Co Offaly has officially become Ireland’s newest millionaire after winning Saturday night’s Lotto jackpot worth an impressive €8,221,849,’ he said. ‘We are encouraging all of our players in Co Offaly to carefully check their tickets today as one player now holds the title of fourth Lotto jackpot winner of 2026.

‘If it is you, get in touch with our prize claims team as soon as possible, and in the meantime, keep that ticket somewhere safe.’

The winning ticketholder is advised to sign the back of their ticket and contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or at claims@lottery.ie, after which arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize at Lottery Headquarters.
