Waterford is set to host the dramatic finish line for Retro Cannonball 2026 as 100 classic cars travel through the Sunny South East for charity next June.

The three-day motoring event takes place from June 5th to 7th and will see a convoy of vintage and iconic cars pass through Dublin, Wicklow, Wexford, Carlow, Tipperary and Waterford.

The event raises funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities Ireland, which supports families whose children are seriously ill and receiving treatment far from home.

Organisers say more than €2.27 million has already been raised for Irish children’s charities through Cannonball events.

The convoy begins in Dún Laoghaire on Friday June 5th before travelling south through the country, including the scenic Vee drive in Tipperary.

Waterford City will host the finale of the Retro Cannonball 2026 finish line on Saturday June 6th from around 5pm, with music, big screens and free family entertainment planned in the city centre.

Spectators will also get the chance to see a range of classic and vintage vehicles up close, including Ferrari 348 GTS models, Lamborghini Diablos, Porsche 911s, Jaguar E-Types and Ford Escort Cosworths.

Organisers say Retro Cannonball combines nostalgia and classic motoring with fundraising and community spirit.
