Music fans turned out to the RSC on Saturday evening as Waterford’s own Moncrieff headlined the second night of the Heat Wave Festival. Festivalgoers gathered from across the county for the singer’s homecoming performance, with support acts Dave Lofts and Steve Cooper also taking to the stage.

Festivalgoers from across Waterford gathered from early evening, with gates opening at 6.30pm, for what organisers billed as one of the city’s biggest live music events of the summer. Moncrieff topped a line-up that also featured local favourite Dave Lofts and DJ Steve Cooper.

The hometown performance created a lively atmosphere throughout the night, with fans singing along to Moncrieff’s biggest hits as the singer closed out the festival with an energetic set. The event formed the second and final night of the two-day Heat Wave Festival, which returned this year after its success in 2025.

Festival organisers had described the show as a major homecoming for the Waterford artist, with the event also showcasing local talent through performances from Dave Lofts and Steve Cooper.
