Leaving Certificate students have until 5pm tomorrow to make any final changes to their CAO course preferences before this year’s ‘Change of Mind’ deadline passes.

The free online facility, which has been available since early May, allows students to add, remove or change their Level 8 and Level 7/6 course choices before the deadline.

Once the change of mind window closes, no further changes can be made ahead of this year’s college offers.

Students are being encouraged to carefully review their applications and ensure their preferred courses are listed in the order they genuinely want to study them, rather than arranging them based on expected CAO points.

Applicants can update their choices as many times as they wish before the 5pm deadline, with each submission replacing the previous list.

After making any amendments, the CAO advises students to check their confirmation email and log back into their account to ensure all changes have been recorded correctly.

The deadline also provides an opportunity for students to check that their personal details and examination information are correct before the offers process begins later this summer.

Education experts have advised students to review their course choices one final time now that the Leaving Certificate examinations have finished up, ensuring they are happy with their final preferences.
