JJ Kavanagh is increasing the number of daily services on its Route 736 between Waterford and Dublin from today.

The updated timetable increases departures from 14 to 17 in each direction every day, bringing the total number of services on the route to 34 daily.

The company says the changes will provide passengers with a near-hourly connection between Waterford, Carlow, Dublin City and Dublin Airport, with new early morning, daytime and late night departures added to the schedule.

All fares and ticket types remain unchanged.

As part of the changes, all Route 736 services will now start and finish at SETU Waterford on Cork Road.

Tramore and Castledermot will no longer be served by the route, with JJ Kavanagh saying the move will allow it to focus resources on providing a more frequent and reliable service on the corridor.

The company says the investment reflects growing demand for public transport links between Waterford and Dublin.
