A garda investigation is under way after a house in Castletroy, Limerick, was vandalised by a group of young people.
Gardaí are reviewing videos showing furniture being thrown from an upstairs window of the property in College Court as part of their investigation.
One video circulating on social media appears to show dozens of people cheering as a mattress is thrown from the window.

The property, which was vacant at the time of the incident, is understood to have suffered extensive damage.
A garda spokesperson said: ‘Gardaí received a report of an incident of criminal damage that occurred in College Court, Castletroy, Co Limerick in the early hours of Wednesday morning’.
A technical examination of the scene has since been carried out.

College Court is located close to the University of Limerick, with a large number of students renting accommodation in the area.
UL has confirmed that it is aware of the incident, which took place off campus.
The university said it strongly promotes responsible behaviour and positive engagement with the local community.

‘While the vast majority of students are respectful and valued members of the community, the University recognises that instances of anti-social behaviour, including property damage, public disorder and other actions that negatively impact residents, are a matter of serious concern,’ according to a statement from UL.
It said complaints made to the university about individuals are taken very seriously.
‘There are mechanisms within the University student code of conduct for breaches of the code to be dealt with,’ the statement said.

Students have been urged to consider their behaviour and the impact their actions can have on the wider community.
UL said anti-social behaviour affects not only those living in the immediate area, but also reflects on the wider student body
