Gardaí are renewing their appeal for witnesses to a fatal road traffic incident which occurred at Little Island, Cork, on Friday, April 17.

Conor Coleman was found near Hoffman Park after Gardaí received a report that he had fallen from a moving vehicle at approximately 11.50pm.

The original statement issued by An Garda Síochána read that a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle, before a correction was issued.

The 19-year-old was taken from the scene to Cork University Hospital, where he was declared deceased.

Forensic Collision investigators attended the scene of the incident and an examination took place.

Gardaí are still appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

A statement read: ‘Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area between 11pm and midnight on Friday 17 April 2026, are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.

‘Anyone with information is asked to contact Mayfield Garda Station on 021 4558510, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.’
