A criminal investigation has been launched into the leaking of an audio clip of a private conversation believed to be between singer Tommy Fleming and his partner, Tina Mitchell.

The couple split up in October 2025, having been together since 2002.

Mayo native Tina confirmed the split over the weekend, confirming that she was also no longer involved in the Sligo singer’s management.

It comes amid a Garda investigation into the leaking of a private phone conversation understood to be between Tommy and Tina.

A spokesperson for Tommy Fleming confirmed that a criminal investigation had begun, and they could not comment.

‘There’s now a criminal investigation, so we’re not allowed to make any comment at all,’ they stated.

EVOKE have reached out to An Garda Síochána for a statement on the investigation.

It comes not long after Tina confirmed her split from Tommy.

A statement from the 63-year-old told the Sunday Independent: ‘I confirm that our marriage had ended, and we have been separated since October 2025.

‘TF Productions Ltd has ceased trading, and I am no longer involved in his career or management in any capacity, now or in the future.’

The mum-of-two added that her ‘sole focus’ was to rebuild her life and protect her two children and father.

The couple enjoyed more than two decades together, having tied the knot in Clifden, Go Galway in 2006.

The wedding came following their engagement two years earlier while holidaying in Cape Town, Africa.

Tommy and Tina first met when attending the funeral of a mutual friend, with Tommy previously admitting it ‘unusual.’

Speaking to RSVP Live some years ago, the singer said: ‘I suppose it is unusual, but people meet at weddings and all kinds of functions.’

The couple had settled in Enniscrone, County Sligo, choosing the area as their base due to its closeness to both their home towns.

Tina is originally from Ballina, County Mayo, while Tommy hails from Arclare, Sligo.
