Ferrybank Post Office has launched a dedicated ASD hour aimed at making the service more accessible for autistic people and their families.
The initiative was launched in collaboration with United in Blue Waterford ASD Group.
According to Ferrybank Focus, it is the first ASD hour of its kind to be introduced in a post office in Ireland.

The initiative is intended to provide a more autism-friendly environment for customers who may find busy or noisy settings difficult.
Jennifer and Melissa from United in Blue Waterford ASD Group worked with Linda and the team at Ferrybank Post Office to introduce the new service.
Writing following the launch, Ferrybank Focus described the initiative as a positive example of community collaboration in Ferrybank.
The new ASD hour forms part of efforts locally to make everyday services more accessible and inclusive for people with additional sensory needs.
