A €4 million expansion has been completed at the Park Hotel Dungarvan, creating approximately 30 new jobs.

The investment which is described as the largest expansion in the hotel’s 36 year history, has added 21 new family bedrooms and increased its overall capacity from 84 to 105 rooms.

The new roles have been created across accommodation, food and beverage and wider hotel operations.

Major Investment

As part of the development, a new family floor has been added to the hotel, with rooms designed to accommodate larger families and a new two-bedroom family suite also included.

The €4 million programme has also seen €150,000 invested in upgrading the hotel’s Garden Bar and outdoor space.

Further improvements have been made to the Riverside Health Club, including the addition of a new sauna.

The Park Hotel, which is part of the Flynn Hotel Collection, says the expansion comes amid continued growth in Dungarvan’s popularity as a destination for family and short-stay tourism.

General Manager Declan Moriarty described the development as a ‘landmark investment’ for the hotel.

He said it reflects confidence in both the future of the business and the continued growth of Dungarvan as a family destination.

The new family bedrooms are now open following completion of the expansion.
