A popular café in Dunmore East is to close its doors for the final time this weekend after 28 years in business.

The Bay Café announced the news in a notice displayed on a blackboard at the premises.

“So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye,” the message reads.

The café will close for good following business hours on Sunday, September 27th.

In their farewell message, Barbara, Dave and the crew thanked those who have supported the café over almost three decades.

“Thanks to all our local customers and 4 legged friends over the past 28 years,” the notice said.

The Bay Café has been serving customers in the seaside village for 28 years, with Sunday marking the end of its time in business.
