West Waterford artisan chocolatier CocoabyJudit is celebrating after receiving a Great Taste 1 Star Award 2026 for The Berry Tea Cake, one of the signature creations in its Heritage Collection.

Recognised as one of the world’s most respected food accreditation schemes, the Great Taste Awards are judged through a rigorous blind tasting process by panels of chefs, buyers, food writers and industry experts.

The award recognises outstanding flavour and craftsmanship.

The Berry Tea Cake combines a milk chocolate shell with homemade blackcurrant jam made from home-grown fruit, delicate blackcurrant marshmallow, crisp praline biscuit and a caramelised hazelnut, bringing a nostalgic Irish favourite to life in premium artisan chocolate.

Among other winners was Fresh Food Courtyard, Dungarvan which received a one-star Great Taste Award for its Dry Aged T-Bone Steak.
