Dungarvan business earns one-star Great Taste Award

A Dungarvan butcher has been recognised at one of the world’s best-known food awards.
Fresh Food Courtyard has received a one-star Great Taste Award for its Dry Aged T-Bone Steak. The awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, recognise products through blind tasting by a panel of expert judges.
Owner Jimmy Burrows said the award is an endorsement of the quality standards the business strives to achieve every day, while also recognising the work of his team and the quality of the local beef they use.
This year, just over 28 per cent of products entered into the Great Taste Awards received a one-star rating, which judges describe as ‘simply delicious.’
The Dungarvan business is a member of the Irish Butchers’ Guild, which represents independent butchers from across the country.
