Armed gardai were called in after around 20 people were involved in a fight in Tralee on Sunday night.

The row took place at Mitchel’s Road at around 10.50pm.

A number of individuals, both men and women, have been conveyed to hospital for the treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained during the incident.

A vehicle as well as other items were seized by Gardaí and a woman in her 40s was arrested and conveyed to a Garda Station in Co. Kerry.

A garda spokesperson told Extra.ie that she is currently being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

A technical examination of the scene has been conducted and the investigation is ongoing.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information in relation to this incident to come forward. Anyone who was in the Mitchel’s Road area of Tralee between 10:30pm and 10:50pm on Sunday 26th April 2026 is asked to contact investigating Gardaí.
