Eleven Waterford food and drink producers have been named as finalists in the 2026 Blas na hÉireann Irish Food Awards.

More than 3,000 entries were submitted from across the island this year, with the Waterford businesses progressing to the final stage across a range of categories.

The local finalists are 7th Raven, Beara Bitters, Blackwater Distillery, cocoabyjudit, Coffee House Lane, Dawn Meats, Dungarvan Wild Honey, Irish Gourmet Butter, Legacy Irish Craft Cider Ltd., The Lemon Drop and Knockanore Farmhouse Cheese.

Now in their 19th year, the awards span more than 200 food and drink categories, with entries blind-tasted by a judging panel during June and July.

Jacqui Gaule, Head of Enterprise at Waterford Local Enterprise Office, said the finalists reflect the strength of the local sector.

‘This is a fantastic achievement for each business and reflects the exceptional quality, innovation and ambition that exists within our local food sector,’ she said.

‘Waterford has built a strong reputation for producing outstanding food and drink, and it is wonderful to see our producers receiving national recognition for their hard work and commitment to excellence.’

The winners will be announced in Dingle on Friday 2nd of October, as part of the Blas na hÉireann awards weekend which runs from Thursday 1st October to Sunday 4th October.
