Westlife are set to provide the soundtrack to Katie Taylor’s final professional fight when the Bray boxer steps into the ring at Croke Park this Saturday.
The Irish pop legends will headline the entertainment ahead of what is expected to be an emotional final ring walk for Taylor, who will face unbeaten French fighter Flora Pili in front of a crowd of more than 80,000.
Taylor is aiming to bow out at the top as a three-time undisputed world champion in what promises to be a hugely significant night for Irish sport.

Westlife said they were ‘honoured’ to have been invited by Taylor herself to perform at the landmark event.
‘She has inspired the whole country and we couldn’t be prouder to perform for her at Croke Park, a stadium that also means so much to us,’ the group said.
The performance comes just days before Westlife begin a record-breaking 13-night residency at Dublin’s 3Arena on September 10.
Further entertainment acts for Saturday’s event are expected to be announced later this week.
It’s one of the most highly anticipated sporting events ever in Ireland, as arguably the country’s greatest ever athlete bows out in style on the country’s biggest stage.
