There’s nothing we love more than when Irish stars join forces for a project, and Kerry Condon and Andrew Scott are giving us just that!
The Banshees of Inisherin actress and the Fleabag star have teamed up with Oscar winner Brendan Fraser for new war film, Pressure, which will follow the story of the build-up to the D-Day landings.
BAFTA winner Kerry plays Allied Supreme Commander Dwight D Eisenhower’s ‘trusted aide Captain Kay Summersby’ in the thriller, which is now just days away from being released.

Brendan Fraser will star opposite Kerry as future US president Eisenhower while Andrew plays Britain’s Chief Meteorological Officer James Stagg.
Stagg had one of the most important jobs on D-Day – ‘to inform Eisenhower of weather conditions that would make or break their Normandy invasion’.

Pressure is packed full of talent with big names like Damian Lewis, who Band Of Brothers fans will be delighted to see back on screens in a war film, and Chris Messina also starring in the movie.
The synopsis for the project reads: ‘In the 72 hours leading up to D-Day, all the pieces are in place except for one key element – the British weather.’

‘Britain’s Chief Meteorological Officer James Stagg is called upon to deliver the most consequential forecast in history, locking him into a tense standoff with the entire Allied leadership,’ it continues.
‘The wrong conditions could devastate the largest-ever seaborne invasion, while any delay risks German intelligence catching on.’

‘With only his trusted aide Captain Kay Summersby to confide in, and haunted by a catastrophic D-Day rehearsal, the final decision rests with Supreme Allied Commander Dwight D Eisenhower,’ the synopsis continues. ‘With only hours to go, the fate of the war and the lives of millions hang in the balance.’
A new trailer shows the build-up to D-Day, with tense music adding to the sense of foreboding.

Clips show Andrew looking progressively more stressed as he analyses data from weather balloons and argues with Eisenhower about when the troops should move.
It sounds like we’ll be first in line at the cinema to watch Kerry Condon and Andrew Scott in action in Pressure when it comes out on May 29!
