Now, a video has emerged of the GAA star singing during a stint at the Gaeltacht several years ago, where he is seen on stage performing a Christmas hit.
The video shows the reality TV star singing a Christmas song in Irish during his three-week stay at Coláiste Lurgan.
Wearing a Christmas hat and red T-shirt, Fitzy is singing Merry Christmas as Gaeilge to a crowd of people dancing.
It was taken seven years ago, with one YouTube user calling for the group to enter Eurovision.
It comes after a Galway bar has revealed they have named a new drink after Fitzy.
The Front Door Pub in Galway has created ‘The Fitzy Fizz’ in honour of the star, who is an apparent regular at the late-night bar.
The pub, located in the heart of Galway’s Latin Quarter, said the summer cocktail was conceived to celebrate ‘Irish lad Fitzy in the Love Island Villa’.
The cocktail contains Nora’s pink gin, cranberry juice, lemon juice, and sugar syrup and is topped with Prosecco.
