Carl Mullan was quick to take the opportunity to jeer at his former radio co-host Donncha O’Callaghan this weekend.
The broadcaster co-presented 2FM breakfast alongside the former rugby international and Doireann Garrihy for three years.
Donncha and Doireann departed the show in 2024, with Doireann returning to the station soon after.
She is currently in the mid-morning slot, while Carl has remained on the breakfast show alongside new co-presenters Roz Purcell and Aisling Bonner.
Having just returned from maternity leave, it’s been a hectic few weeks for Doireann who also toured with her live podcast show, The Laughs of Your Life.
The tour concluded in Limerick over the weekend, with shows also held in Cork, Dublin and more.
Last week, Doireann took to the stage at the Olympia Theatre in Dublin, and was joined by Carl for a part of the evening.
The duo couldn’t miss an opportunity for a bit of craic with their former co-host, with Carl sending Donncha a video live from the stage at the Olympia.
‘Alright, ya bleedin’ pain in the hole!’ Carl said while throwing his fingers at his former radio colleague.
‘They got the one they wanted!’ Carl said, turning the camera to the audience who took their queue to cheer.
Doireann then starts a chant of ‘We don’t need Donners!’
Sharing the video to Instagram, Doireann wrote: ‘I wanted an OG pal for an OG venue. @carlmullan you blew the roof off The Olympia. As reunions go this was a special one!’
Carl commented: ‘Thank you so so much for having me Swan. What a laugh and what a great catch up. Also that first half of the show is unbelievable.’
Other comments came in, full of praise for Doireann, with one saying: ‘Congratulations, you are some woman.’
