Una Healy has paid tribute to her aunt, Bridget, after her death forced another member of her family to pull out of a gig.
Una’s uncle, Declan Nerney, first announced the death of his sister in a social media post on Sunday.
Declan was set to perform at Ceol Country, a festival organised by Dublin City Council, on the same day but had to cancel because of the loss.

Sharing a photo of Bridget, Declan wrote: ‘It is with great sadness I announce the passing of my dear sister Bridget.
‘Therefore, I will not be appearing at the Ceol Country Festival in Dublin today. Thank you.’
On Monday morning, Una reposted this announcement on her Instagram Story and added a message of her own.

The 44-year-old said: ‘Rest in peace auntie B.’
Friends and family quickly flooded Declan’s post with messages of condolences and sympathy.
One person wrote: ‘So sorry to hear of the passing of your sister today Declan our condolences to your family and friends may she Rest In Peace.’
Another shared: ‘So so sorry for your loss Declan. May Bridget rest in eternal peace. Condolences to all the family and friends.’
A third added: ‘So sorry to hear about your sister my sincere condolences to you and family.’
Yet another said: ‘Very sorry Declan on the death of your sister Bridget and family May she rest in peace.’
Bridget passed away peacefully in Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown on Saturday, August 29.
