The son of the late Irish rugby player and publishing titan Anthony O’Reilly has tied the knot with award-winning film producer Jemima Goldsmith.

Cameron O’Reilly exchanged vows over the weekend with Jemima, whose ex-husband, cricket legend Imran Khan, is seriously ill in prison in Pakistan.

Jemima’s brother Ben Goldsmith confirmed on Sunday night that the couple had got married, with his wife, Jemima Jones, writing online: ‘What a happy day!’

It was reported that Cameron and Jemima, who are 62 and 52, respectively, got engaged in May after a year-long romance.

The Irish-Australian has four children, while Jemima has two sons, Kasim and Sulamain, with Imran, the former Pakistan cricket captain who became prime minister of his country.

Jemima and her sons have been campaigning for his release from prison, where he has been since 2023 on charges of corruption, which he vigorously denies.

In August, Pakistan’s Supreme Court ordered Imran’s transfer to hospital for treatment following concerns about his health.

After their nine-year marriage ended in 2004, Jemima had high-profile relationships with Hugh Grant, Russell Brand and The Crown scriptwriter Peter Morgan.

The wedding comes almost a year after the death of Jemima’s mother, Lady Annabel Goldsmith, while her father, the billionaire tycoon James Goldsmith, died in 1997.

Meanwhile, Cameron is an Oxford graduate who spent part of his career working within his father’s newspaper businesses before moving into private equity.

He has since amassed a fortune through investments in software firms and smart metering technologies.

Cameron now works as an executive producer on documentaries and films, which is reportedly how he and Jemima first met.

They are reportedly splitting their time between Cameron’s residence in Switzerland and Jemima’s home in West London.
