A National Day of Mourning is around the corner as we prepare ourselves for the finale of The Traitors Ireland S2.
After the success of S1, S2 quickly became a fan favourite once more after the first episode aired on Sunday, August 30. We know it’s only been two weeks, but we’ve been on the edge of our seats, captivated by the suspicion, strategy, and deception of it all.
The Irish version is still being beautifully helmed by Derry Girls’ Siobhán McSweeney, who, if we’re honest, outshines Claudia Winkleman (especially in the outfit department).

The show sees 23 strangers play the ultimate game of deception, betrayal, and trust in the hope of winning up to €50k.
The Traitors, which is shot on the banks of the Boyne in Slane Castle, has stayed true to its promise to keep us entertained with a fun combination of chaos, suspicion, strategy, and sabotage.
But alas, all good things must come to an end, as they say…

RTÉ has confirmed the finale of The Traitors Ireland S2 will air at 9.30pm on Tuesday, September 22 — meaning we have just two weeks, comprising six episodes, left to sink our teeth into.
WARNING: Spoilers ahead!
Thus far, we’ve seen five players banished from the walls of Slane Castle, four of whom have been Traitors (the Faithfuls are on a roll). Additionally, four players have been murdered by order of the Traitors.

After an unfortunate injury saw Gráinne hobble out of the castle, 13 players remain, battling it out for the cash prize at the end.
As it stands, Carla is the only remaining Traitor in the game, but a parting blow from Aoife might just have made her the players’ new target.
She’s set to blackmail one of her fellow players into becoming a Traitor or lying down and taking their murder like a Faithful. We won’t find out who she has chosen until Sunday…
