The Traitors Ireland star Faye Brennan has opened up about her new romance since making her debut on the show – calling him the ‘most amazing person’ she has ever met.

Faye became a hit with audiences during the first season of the RTÉ One show last year after she missed out on the final by just one roundtable after Nick and Ben ran rings around the girls.

And since the show aired, the star has revealed she has found true love with Personal Trainer, Jake Hannigan.

Speaking about how they met, she said a chance encounter on TikTok forged their romance together.

She told EVOKE: ‘His name is Jake, and he’s a PT (Personal Trainer), and he is the most amazing person ever in my whole life. And I will marry that boy.

‘He posts on TikTok a bit, and I saw him. I just gave him the follow, and then he texted me, and then the rest is history.’

Faye said she found dating after being on The Traitors Ireland a bit ‘scary’ because she didn’t know who liked her for being her or someone off the TV.

‘It is scary….you’re like, do they really want to know me or do they want to know like status?

‘But Jake’s very genuine, and he’s been that way every day since. I’m very lucky,’ she added.

It comes just weeks after Faye warned viewers to remember the stars of the new series are ‘real people’ like everyone else.

She said at the time: ‘Remember these are real people. From my experience of it, I got sucked into Reddit. I was like, I want to see what they say. Don’t read it. These are real people living locked away from reality. So there’s no internet. There’s no phone. There’s no family. There’s no one to confide in that they actually trust, and it’s hard.

‘So people might be out of character. Give them a little bit of leeway. It’s hard. It’s not as easy as it might look while watching telly.’
