The Traitors Ireland star Faye Brennan has shared details about her new boyfriend, personal trainer Jake Hannigan.

Faye was one of the standout competitors on the RTE show last year, just about missing out on the final after being voted out in the penultimate Round Table.

While she was single during her time on The Traitors, Faye has struck up a new romance since the show aired.

Speaking about how she met Jake, Faye revealed that a chance encounter on TikTok brought the pair together.

She told EVOKE: ‘His name is Jake, and he’s a PT (Personal Trainer), and he is the most amazing person ever in my whole life. And I will marry that boy.

‘He posts on TikTok a bit, and I saw him. I just gave him the follow, and then he texted me, and then the rest is history.’

Faye admitted that rising to Irish fame on The Traitors made the dating scene a bit ‘scary’, considering that she didn’t know if someone was only into her because she was on television.

She added: ‘It is scary…you’re like, do they really want to know me or do they want to know like status?

‘But Jake’s very genuine, and he’s been that way every day since. I’m very lucky.’

Faye also recently spoke about different aspects of The Traitors that fans sometimes overlook, as the second season of the series got underway.

At the time, she said: ‘Remember these are real people. From my experience of it, I got sucked into Reddit. I was like, I want to see what they say. Don’t read it.

‘These are real people living locked away from reality. So there’s no internet. There’s no phone. There’s no family. There’s no one to confide in that they actually trust, and it’s hard.

‘So people might be out of character. Give them a little bit of leeway. It’s hard. It’s not as easy as it might look while watching telly.’
