Tensions are running high as the final of the Traitors Ireland nears — and another Faithful was banished on Tuesday night.

The dramatic episode saw Traitor Pauric O tasked with murdering a contestant in plain sight.

That contestant is Janet, who suffers a slow death, but her protestations go unheard by her fellow Faithfuls.

Janet’s murder is revealed after the task, where players were required to make offerings to the fairies of the forest.

In order to pass through safely they had to guess who had been marked for death, and taken by fairies at the end. Each correctly answered question also resulted in money going into the prize pot.

Following the revelation that Janet had been murdered, suspicions turned to Pauric O, though not all the heat was on the musician.

Carla and Pete were also under fire, with DJ clashing with Pete during the roundtable, and Kayleigh adding in that he was ‘the worst friend ever.’

Pauric took the opportunity to join the pile-on, and Diego was also of the belief that DJ was a Traitor.

Carla’s name is also floated around, but it’s DJ who is eventually banished — while Pauric O received zero votes from his fellow contestants!

The car salesman’s voice breaks as he reveals to the cast that he is ‘an absolute faithful’ making it a second consecutive victory for the Traitors.

Viewers took to X to have their say, with many shocked that there wasn’t more attention on Pauric O during the episode.

One wrote: ‘Season 2 of The Traitors Ireland is possibly one of the best ever in the franchise omg.’

Another added: ‘Pauric O and Carla could literally walk around that castle with Traitor tattooed on their forehead and the others would point the finger elsewhere.

‘Not a good look lads.’

A third said: ‘Traitors Ireland is making me so f*cking mad.’
