Patrick Kielty is set to return to the hot seat this Friday night as The Late Late Show kicks off a brand-new season on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
The new series begins on Friday, September 18, at 9.35pm, with a star-studded line-up of guests joining Patrick in studio.
The Traitors Ireland star Siobhán McSweeney will be among the first guests, as she discusses the runaway success of the hit series.
Siobhán will open up about her time in the castle, including why she ruled with an iron fist as Lady Muck, as well as how she celebrated winning her first BAFTA.
She’ll also be joined by some of the banished and murdered players from this year’s series, with anticipation building ahead of next week’s final.
The stars of this summer’s biggest sporting story will also be in studio, with members of the Mayo team and manager Andy Moran set to reflect on their All-Ireland victory.
The team will chat to Patrick about life since their historic win, which saw the green and red wave take over the country and attract attention around the world.
GAA star Kobe McDonald will also be back from Australia, where excitement is building around him as one of the most promising new talents in Aussie Rules.
Meanwhile, Mayo stalwart and fan favourite Aidan O’Shea will reflect on what finally lifting Sam Maguire meant to him after 15 years of battling for the All-Ireland title.
Irish actress Caitríona Balfe will also join Patrick to discuss her latest role in Sense and Sensibility, a new adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved story of love and sisterhood.
The Monaghan actress will discuss her love of period dramas and working alongside co-stars Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles.
She’ll also look back on saying goodbye to Outlander this year after eight seasons, as well as reflecting on her experience filming Kenneth Branagh’s Belfast, which remains one of her proudest career moments.
Actor Liam Neeson and historian Catherine Corless will then join Patrick to discuss their new film, The Lost Children of Tuam.
Neeson, who is one of the film’s producers, will explain why he felt Corless’ story needed to be heard, while Corless will discuss the ongoing fight for the truth.
Music will also feature on Friday night’s show, with The Script dropping into the studio following the success of their chart-topping album The User’s Guide To Being Human.
Frontman Danny O’Donoghue will chat about married life, how he continues to honour the memory of late bandmate Mark Sheehan through music and what fans can expect when the band hit the road in the coming weeks.
And there’s another major announcement in store, with Patrick set to reveal some exciting news about this year’s Late Late Toy Show.
