Sean ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald has made an announcement with Lola Deal, who is now ‘officially a WAG.’
The Galway man met detective Lola on the most recent series of Love Island, with the pair hitting it off straight away.
Coupled up from the beginning of the series, the pair quickly went exclusive and navigated life in the villa before volunteering to leave just a week before the finale.
With Lola set to make the move to Dublin in the near future, the pressure was on for Fitzy to make things official.
The couple had previously joked that the bar was set high, and by the looks of it, the teacher has nailed his girlfriend proposal.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday evening, the 25-year-old shared a picture of Lola perched on his lap as he sat on a bed.
Behind the couple were large red foil balloons spelling out: ‘WILL YOU BE MY GIRLFRIEND.’
If that wasn’t enough, there were heart-shaped balloons, regular red balloons and rose petals spread across the bed.
‘She’s officially a WAG,’ Fitzy teased before extending thanks to Dublin business Luxe Decor for their help.
Lola led comments, writing that she was the ‘happiest girl alive’ while fellow islanders Priya and Finley left messages of support.
Sharing snaps of the sweet moment on her own Instagram, Lola joked: ‘Took me forever to blow up the balloons xoxox.’
It comes following an exciting trip to Ireland, with Fitzy bringing Lola back to his native Galway just in time for the Galway Races.
Following on from the races, he lined out for his local GAA club Barna, with Lola trialling out what it’s like to be a WAG on the sideline.
The match, which saw Barna winning, came not long before Fitzy whisked Lola off to the Aran Islands for a day trip.
